"What should we do for you, boss?" Asked Shirashini, one of the elite guards.
"Isn't that obvious? You guys are my guards. Protect me from the demon slayers." Wakuraba ordered.
"It seems like this is the second time you got cornered to the point you had to call us." Aogami, one of the guards, laughed.
"Hey, shall I punish you?" Wakuraba snapped.
"Well, no matter demon slayers or even Hashiras come, we'll kill and eat all of them." Said Oogumi, one of the guards.
"I like your attitude." Wakuraba grinned. "Now, go and kill every single demon slayers that are aiming for my life."
Meanwhile, Tanjiro and others kept on climbing the mountain, and were about to reach the peak at this point. The peak of the mountain, where Wakuraba lived on, soon came into sight. Tanjiro smiled as he realized that their destination was near.
Just then, Tanjiro closed his nose. An awful smell pierced Tanjiro's nostrills. Inosuke also felt the menacing aura of the beings that were approaching them through skin. Zenitsu heard the terrifying sound of the enemies.
"(This smell...)" Tanjiro trembled. "(Are multiple Twelve Kizuki Demons here?!! This smell is just as close to Kibitsuji as the spider demon who was Lower Moon 5!!)"
Just then, a beam made out of blood almost reached Tanjiro. Nezuko pushed Tanjiro and got shot instead. Nezuko puked out blood and fell unconscious.
"Nezukooooooo!!!!" Tanjiro screamed.
"If only she wasn't a demon, she would've died with that one." Shirashini, the one who fired the blood beam, grinned.
"Breathing of Water, First Form: Water Surface Slash-" The blood beam penetrated Tanjiro's chest before he managed to make a move.
"Blood Demon Art: Flash Death Steel Cannon." Shirashini grinned. "The beam made out of my blood shoots at the speed of sound. Not even Hashiras can react to it!!!"
"Not even Hashiras...?" Tanjiro barely managed to stand up. "Don't underestimate Hashiras. That attack was visible even for me. There is no way Hashiras can't dodge that!!"
"Oh? You can still fight? Interesting." Shirashini prepared to shoot the next blood beam. "It was visible, yet you failed to dodge it. The reason for that is simple. Your may be able to react to my beam, but your body isn't fast enough."
Suddenly, an another demon stepped in and pulled Kanao to his side with his telekinesis - like Blood Demon Art. Kanao was helplessly caught by Aogami, and was forcefully taken to somewhere else. She was nowhere to be seen after that.
"Kanaooooo!!!!" Tanjiro screamed.
Oogumi crashed into the scene straight afterwards. He suddenly grew the size of his body. Soon, he became a 7 - meter - giant.
"Take this!!!" Inosuke jumped up towards Oogumi, but Oogumi the giant caught him with his hand. He also caught Zenitsu and moved to somewhere else.
"Zenitsu!!! Inosuke!!!" Tanjiro screamed.
"Hey, your opponent is me, not them." Said Shirashini. "Take this!!!" He fired an another blood beam at the speed of sound.
"(If I can't dodge, I will cut the attack!!)" Tanjio thought. "Breathing of Water: Fourth Form: Striking Tide!!"
No use. The blood beam shot by Shirashini penetrated through Tanjiro's shoulder before he even managed to swing his sword. Tanjiro dropped his sword.
"That's it for you!!!" Shirashini laughed. "Take this!!!"
"(If I am not fast enough to cut that attack... I'll just have to make myself faster...)" Tanjiro thought as he picked up his sword. "(Then, I'll use this technique, which doesn't only strengthen my slashes per rotation, but makes them faster, too!!!)"
Tanjiro breathed in. He stood in his stance and prepared to use his strongest Breathing of Water technique. Shirashini also anticipated for something amazing.
"Die!!!!" Shirashini fired his blood beam.
"Breathing of Water, Tenth Form: Constant Flux!!!!"
Tanjiro rotated his sword again and again until he was sure that it became fast enough to cut down the blood beam. Soon, his blade was about to cut through it. However, the beam was still slightly faster, and Tanjiro was shot in the stomach.
"Guuhhh!!!" Tanjiro puked out blood.
"That was close." Shirashini grinned. "Now die."
Shirashini shot Tanjiro again and again, penetrating his legs, arms, stomach and chest. Tanjiro screamed and Shirashini laughed like a maniac. Just one more shot and Tanjiro would be dead.
"Aaaaaaaagghhhhh!!!!!"
"Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaa!!!!"
Shirashini fired his blood beam one last time. Tanjiro closed his eyes and accepted his fate. When he opened his eyes, he realized that he was not dead.
It was Nezuko, who somehow got up, who was shot instead. She was shot straight through the heart. Even for demons, that damage was serious.
"Nezukoooooo!!!!" Tanjiro screamed.
"What a nice sister you have on your side." Shirashini chuckled. "Too bad, you don't have a meat shield anymore."
"Meat... Shield...?" Tanjiro was enraged. "You dare call Nezuko meat shield...?!"
"Yeah, she was just a meat shield, nothing more, nothing less." Shirashini teased. "Look, she was not able to do anything except throwing her body to save you. How pathetic."
"How dare youuuuuu!!!!" Tanjiro somehow stood up again. This time, he prepared for something far more fast and destructive than Breathing of Water.
"(His breathing changed... Wait a second, I remember this technique...)" Shirashini trembled. "(It's not the memory of me, but the memory of Muzan - sama's cells... Yes, it was the breathing of that swordsman who fought Muzan - sama!!!!)"
Shirashini fired his blood beam anyways. Tanjiro breathed in and prepared to swing his sword with far greater force than before. Shirashini had goosebumps on his skin.
"Hinokami Kagura: Dance!!!"
Tanjiro's Hinokami Kagura cut through the blood beam. Then, he still kept going and his blade reached Shirashini's neck. His blade started to cut through his neck.
"(Impossible... He cut my blood beam, which fires at the speed of sound?!!)" Shirashini was shocked.
"Haaaaaahhh!!!" Tanjiro beheaded Shirashini. His head was sent flying up into the air and then dropped down.
Tanjiro fell down due to using up all his stamina on using Hinokami Kagura, and his severe injuries he got from the blood beams. He panted and bleeded heavily. He was no longer able to fight.
"(Zenitsu... Inosuke... Kanao... Everyone... Don't die!!!)"
