Founded in the early 2000s, SeniorMatch is a dating website for people 50 years old or older. Signing up for SeniorMatch is free, and the website uses an algorithm to match you with a partner who shares your interests and preferences.

Premium (paid) subscriptions are available for users who want access to unlimited messaging, the ability to see who viewed their profile, unlimited “rewinds” (meaning if you regret passing on a profile, you can undo that action), unlimited “winks” (or “love signals”) and more. SeniorMach is also available to download as an app on Android devices exclusively.

You’re also asked for details on your age, plus the age range in which you prefer to date, your height and your relationship status. You can specify that you’re separated, married or widowed, or select “single.” Then you’re prompted to create a profile featuring a “headline,” information about yourself and photos.

Once your profile is complete you’re able to browse potential matches, read “comments and compliments” about other members that show up in your algorithm and view direct messages sent to you from other users. You may also upgrade to a premium (paid) membership to access additional features, such as the ability to customize privacy and profile data, unlimited “likes” and “winks,” exclusive emojis and more.

SeniorMatch offers a free membership option, however access to some of the site’s more extensive features—such as seeing who “liked” or “winked” at you and the ability to customize your privacy settings—costs $29.99 for a one-month plan, $19.98 per month for a three-month plan (billed as $59.95 every three months) or $15.99 per month for a six-month plan (billed as $95.95 every six months).

This pricing of SeniorMatch is somewhat comparable to competitor sites. Match, for example, has a free option or charges $21.84 per month for a 12-month standard plan or $23.11 per month for a 12-month premium plan.

Furthermore, she says it provides a platform where older individuals can connect with like-minded people, fostering a broader sense of community. “I think the price points are reasonable and seem aligned with other sites and apps currently on the market,” she adds.

I found using SeniorMatch to be incredibly easy and straightforward, with a clean layout and simple instructions.

However, I did struggle with the “headline” section. The prompt notes that you can change it any time and that it will appear in search and at the top of your profile, but there’s no real explanation of what it should look like or examples to use.

While SeniorMatch is available as an Android app, it’s not available for iOS devices. While some users may prefer to view potential matches on a computer or laptop, this limited functionality may be difficult for people who prefer apps or have an iPhone.

SeniorMatch reviews are mixed on SiteJabber.com. One pleased user writes, “The app is really well put together and straight away it helped me communicate with a lot of people. I’ve found more compatible people on SeniorMatch than I saw on all the other apps I’ve been on, so I’d have to say that it’s the best on that basis.”
